Presented by Southern Cross Soloists, Gather Round is our regional and metropolitan recital series, touring Queensland communities and Brisbane's Thomas Dixon Centre with performances by Australia's leading chamber musicians and exceptional guest artists, along with our emerging stars of tomorrow.
These concerts are deliberately small in scale, creating the rare opportunity to experience virtuosic performances up close—to hear every nuance, witness the artistry at arm's length, and connect directly with the musicians behind the music. Chamber music was born in intimate spaces, and Gather Round returns to those roots.

Building on the success of the former Sunset Soirée Recital Series, which presented performances across regional and metropolitan Queensland while showcasing both established and emerging artists, Gather Round continues Southern Cross Soloists' commitment to expanding access to excellence in music making for all Queenslanders. In 2026, the series presents performances across multiple locations, strengthening community partnerships, championing Australian stories, and reaching new audiences through intimate recital experiences.
